Book Review – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

“Imperfect understanding is often more dangerous than ignorance.” J.K. Rowling, Fabtastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

You can buy the book here: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

So this is going to be a short review because, frankly, there’s not much to review. This book is written as a textbook which is just information about the beasts in the magical world. It’s essentially a long list in a short book. I love the Harry Potter series and the world that Rowling has developed so I found it somewhat interesting but I actually thought the introduction was more interesting than the rest of the book. It’s not a book you would necessarily recommend to someone though.

SPOILER ALERT

My favorite animal is the Jobberknoll 😉

SUMMARY

Read it or don’t but I think the movie looks fantastic. I don’t think reading it is going to change how you view the movie at all.

A side note: all purchases of the book help fund a charity that helps some of the poorest nations across the UK. If you can, add it to your library and read more about the positive work that Comic Relief is doing on their website.
