“There’s something comforting about the sight of strangers safe at home.”
― Paula Hawkins, The Girl on the Train
This book is twisty and suspenseful. It has love, it has lust, it has mystery. It has it all. We follow Rachel through the story as she watches a family from a train everyday and we learn that people noticing things can help and hurt at times.
SPOILER ALERT
Holy plot twist! It’s crazy finding out how intertwined these families are as the story goes on… AND finding out that she’s just riding the train back and forth because she was fired… AND that the freakin’ husband did it! I loved how the whole time we thought that Rachel did it. I was sold that she was going to have some big revelation that she killed her thinking it was someone else or something. This book was everything I love about mysteries rolled into one.
SUMMARY
Read the book. It’s amazing. It also has great stories about addiction and relationships and how we perceive ourselves in general. If you loved Gone Girl, this book is right up your alley.
